I remember meeting Lindsie and her mom for the first time at one of my favorite spots, Cafe Lola. When Lindsie started talking to me about her and Rickie her face literally lit up. I could tell she was just so in love with this person which made me even more excited to meet him. When she started telling me about her dream wedding she had mentioned how the movie, “Up” was their favorite and because of this they wanted to get married in a hot air balloon (insert my excited face because how cool is that?!) They always wanted a smaller, more intimate ceremony since there was only a certain amount of people that were allowed on the hot air balloon and then a brunch with more of their family and friends but still very simple and elegant.
Something that was different for us than our other weddings is actually knowing if we were going to be able to have their ceremony on the date they wanted. When it comes to the hot air balloons, if the winds are higher than a certain MPH, they are not able to go up. With this being said, the winds were not in our favor and we ended up having to wait a day for them to have their most perfect ceremony. Lindsie and Ricky were so amazing and understanding about this because it was completely out of our control. Their wedding ceremony was everything that they wanted it to be. They were married by one of their closest friends, and it was even taped to be a part of the E! reality show, “Total Divas”.
After their ceremony, they all went out for breakfast and celebrated Lindsie and Ricky and then the following day we had their Wedding Brunch at the Four Seasons. With florals and decor from Destinations by Design, the room was simple yet elegant and classy. We still incorporated the hot air balloon theme by having the cake table be a hot air balloon as well as their cake topper. The food was delicious and of course the yummy mimosas were a hit! We are so thankful that we got to be a part of Lindsie and Ricky’s most special day! “You will always be my greatest adventure.” -Up
